The Futureheads celebrated the forthcoming wedding of frontman Barry Hyde by playing a celebratory set at T In The Park last night (July 11th).
The band took to the stage in the King Tuts Wah Wah Tent knowing that it was the last night Barry Hyde would be a free man. The singer is set to get married to Dananananaykroyd bassist Laura Donaghey in his hometown of Sunderland today (July 12th) and as a result had to leave the site immediately after the set to prepare for his vows.
The Futureheads played a storming set, in line with their resurrection as one of Britain’s best indie groups. Dropped from previous label 679, the band decided to go it alone for their latest album “This Is Not The World”, and have had much success.
The band played a few old favourites for the T In The Park crowd, including “Hounds Of Love” of which they said We’d like to dedicate this next song to Barry, he’s getting married tomorrow!”.
Best of luck to the happy couple!
