The Fall For Hinterland

Manc legends for Glasgow fest

Scottish music showcase event Hinterland has added Manchester post punk legends The Fall to their line up.

Debuting this year, Hinterland aims to showcase the best in musical talent from Scotland and beyond. Kind of like SXSW but colder and with angrier accent, Hinterland has already bagged a host of tasty acts.

Headliners this year will include Glasgow’s own Sons & Daughters, and the four piece will be joined by The Invisible, Metronomy and Micachu – who are responsible for ClashMusic’s ‘Album Of The Week’.

Taking place at twelve venues throughout Glasgow, Hinterland combines a very select bill with the city’s typically exuberant atmosphere. The Fall are one of Britain’s most respected acts, having weathered trends and tides for over three decades.

Still led by Mark E Smith, the band are working on their new album. Hinterland also celebrates local talent and promises an all star line up of emerging Scottish talent.

Hudson Mohawke recently signed to Warp, and his stunning live show demonstrates why he has become one of the most highly sought after names in electronic music.

Also on the bill are such names as Copy Haho, Fangs, Findo Gask, Galchen and many more.

Hinterland takes place between April 30th – May 1st.
