The Cure have outlined plans to play three European festival shows this summer.
For those who were there, The Cure’s headline performance at Bestival this summer will be unforgettable. A peerless group in total command of their artistry, the lengthy performance contained almost everything you could ever want in a Cure set.
Now the legendary British group have begun to focus on the next festival season. The Cure have confirmed plans to perform at three festivals, announcing headline slots at Hultsfred festival in Sweden, alongside German festivals Southside and Hurricane.
Tickets for all three festivals are on sale now.
No news as yet on any British dates. The Cure recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall, playing their classic albums ‘Three Imaginary Boys’ (1979), ‘Seventeen Seconds’ (1980) and 1981’s ‘Faith’ in their entirety.
Selling out almost instantly, the one off show was a rare chance to witness the band re-visiting their formative releases.
For British fans feeling starved of live performances, Sunday Best stepped in to record the band’s Bestival set. Released as a double CD live album, ‘The Cure: Bestival Live 2011’ is out now.
