How best to describe The Chats?
Degenerate sludge rock from Australia. Punk outlaws from the bottom of the world. Or - as the band themselves have it - “dropkick drongos from the Sunshine Coast of Australia”.
Formed in their mates bong shed when still 17 years old, the trio are scarcely into their 20s and have just about learned a few chords in the process.
Deliriously funny and exuberantly energetic, The Chats' music has built a global following, including a sold out date at London's Electric Ballroom.
Returning to the UK for Reading and Leeds, the Australian group will play a headline tour in December.
Opening in Brighton, The Chats hit Oxford, Norwich, Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, and Glasgow. Closing in London on December 14th, The Chats hit Kentish Town Forum for a night of debauchery.
