The Bug will bring his new 'Sirens' project to London tonight (October 28th) for a special performance.
The producer – real name Kevin Martin – unveiled the project earlier this year, and even by his own exacting standards it's quite remarkable.
'Sirens' was originally commissioned to accompany Nik Nowak's exhibition at Berlin's prestigious Berlinische Galerie, and will make its way to Hackney Wick's Bloc venue as part of the Illuminations series.
Said to reflect The Bug's "obsession with deep space/bass probes and invasive frequency washes" it's a world away from his twisted dancefloor fare, and was devised as a type of therapeutic response to operations his newborn son had recently undertaken.
Something quite remarkable, it's a fine way to kick off Illuminations. 'Sirens' hits London's Bloc venue tonight – ticket LINK.
