The Big Moon, Django Django, and The Murder Capital join the bill for this summer’s Standon Calling.
The Hertfordshire event returns this summer, with headline sets from Years & Years, Bloc Party, Self Esteem, and 80s synth pioneers The Human League. In a new announcement the organisers have confirmed more than 40 new names, ranging from true pop survivors through to red-hot new talent.
Irish band The Murder Capital released a terrific album in the opening weeks of 2023, and they’ll join the bill at Standon Calling. Elsewhere, you can catch psych-pop heroes Django Django, alongside the likes of Bear’s Den and Warmduscher.
Indie heroes Scouting For Girls will appear at the festival, while you can also expect a set from the always-excellent The Big Moon.
In a curious move, 80s pop star Rick Astley has also confirmed an appearance, commenting: “I can’t wait to head back to Hertfordshire for Standon Calling this July, hope to see you all there!”
In addition to this, experimental whims are catered for by Mandy, Indiana, Scalping and Keg, while the late-night bill is extended to include Joe Unknown, Deptford Northern Soul Club, Chris Mimo, Darius Syrossian, DJ Emma, London Disco Society, and more.
Tickets are on sale now.
Standon Calling runs between July 20th – 23rd.
