The Apple Cart have outlined a new batch of names on the line up for this summer’s event.
Held in Victoria Park, The Apple Cart is aimed squarely at families. Taking place the same weekend as Underage and Field Day, this one day event is a chilled out alternative to mainstream events.
Returning this summer, The Apple Cart takes place on June 3rd. Organisers are working night and day, with the first names on the line up being announced earlier today.
Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat delivered one of 2011’s most unexpected full lengths, fusing Moffat’s Caledonian miserablism with Wells wonderful musicality.
An odd couple, onstage the pair’s natural chemistry makes for a wonderful live experience. Set to tour this Spring, Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells have confirmed that they are planning to perform at the Apple Cart.
Erstwhile Supergrass mainman Gaz Coombes has been busy of late, constructing his debut solo album. Escaping the studio, the singer will perform at The Apple Cart this summer, mixing a few old classics with his fresh material.
Other new additions to the line up include Jamie N Commons, Lianne La Havas and more. The extra names join a bill which already boasts Josh T Pearson, Jeffrey Lewis and Marques Toliver.
On the comedy side, the Phill Jupitus Quartet will bring their improv show to the Apple Cart, while Rich Hall presents his Hoedown show.
Joint Field Day / The Apple Cart tickets have been confirmed, priced at a very reasonable £69.50.
