The 1975 will make their live comeback at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival this summer.
The band deleted their socials 24 hours ago, sending fans into a tizzy – could an announcement be on the way?
Well, they're back. SORT OF.
The 1975 will end a two year live hiatus by making their live comeback at Summer Sonic 2022, Japan's biggest rock festival.
Split between Tokyo and Osaka, the event runs between August 20th – 21st.
The news comes as the band head into the studio – the attendant press release confirms they are "currently in the studio in England where they are writing, recording and mixing their forthcoming fifth studio album."
Manager Jamie Oborne is already excited about the results:
I wish I could play you guys the new record. It’s so beautiful. : ) x
