Leftfield New York dance duo Telepathe are set to return to the UK for a string of shows later in the month, also joining the bill to support School Of Seven Bells on a selection of live dates.
Beginning life as a studio concern, Telepathe were releasing material for labels such as New York’s Social Registry, before a hook-up with influential British label Merok Records saw them begin work on their debut.
After releasing ‘Dance Mother’ earlier in the year – a mix of darkly decadent beats and tribal synth assaults – the duo made up of Melissa Livaudais and Busy Gangnes are currently tearing their way through a world tour following the album’s release (which Clash Music recently caught up with them to discuss, full Q&A HERE).
Featuring guest appearances from TV on the Radio’s Kyp Malone and !!!’s Shannon Funchess, ‘Dance Mother’ has seen the duo grow from cult concerns to crafting some of the year’s most mind-bogglingly eclectic electro staples (read the our Clash Music album review HERE).
