Scotland’s biggest and barmiest music festival has just got underway, and we are happy to report that the weather is holding off.
Regular readers will know by now that the Clashmusic.com news desk in situated in bonnie Dundee – only a 45 minute drive from the T In The Park site. Our worst fears were realised when, popping out for a sandwich, we were drenched with rain and left with a soggy baguette and floppy crisps after a monsoon like downpour.
However, according to our sources at the festival the sun is actually shining! The ground is holding up well despite showers, and it looks as if the worst of the weather was localized directly above Clash towers. However, all the latest weather reports for Scotland have forecasted heavy rain for tomorrow – fingers crossed!
T In The Park kicks off tonight (July 11th) with sets from KT Tunstall, Stereophonics and, headlining the main stage, reformed Britpop heroes The Verve.
More news as it comes in.
