Balado bash T In The Park is almost upon us and fans are desperate to know just what the weather will be like.
Held in Balado, T In The Park is Scotland’s biggest festival. Growing year upon year, the event now attracts some 80,000 fans and has played host to some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Last year ClashMusic predicted rain for the three day event, yet somehow managed to return bone dry and sun burned. However we did manage to witness an incredible performance by Rage Against The Machine, so at least we got something right.
This time round, T In The Park is set to be headlined by reformed Britpop legends Blur. Having recently slain Glastonbury and stormed Hyde Park it seems that the group can do no wrong, and their set is among the most anticipated of the weekend.
Also due to headline are the likes of Snow Patrol and The Killers – making a long awaited return to the legendary event. Further down the bill are Mercury award winners Elbow, while Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will play a no doubt bone rattling set.
Scottish post rock heroes Mogwai are due to play the festival, and the Bellshill gang will be joined by a host of established and up and coming talent. As ever, the Slam Tent is where the party kids go and this year the arena has a sensational line up topped off by techno don Jeff Mills.
However all that could go awry if the weather refuses to play its part. The BBC’s Meteorological Office predicts that Friday (July 11th) will be rainy, with temperatures peaking at 14 degrees Celsius.
The bad weather is set to continue into Saturday (July 12th) although the Beeb do think it could be slightly warmer. On Sunday (July 13th) sunny intervals are predicted, with temperatures set to soar to 18 degrees Celsius.
As ever, best pack both the sun screen and the wellies.
T In The Park kicks off on July 11th.
