Sweet Baboo Confirms Album, Tour

'Ships' due on April 22nd

Sweet Baboo is set to release his new album 'Ships' through Moshi Moshi on April 22nd.

A strange, beguiling, deeply idiosyncratic talent, Sweet Baboo has flirted on the edges for too long. Late last year, though, it seemed that the tide might be starting to turn in his favour.

Recent single 'Let's Go Swimming Wild' gained widespread support, attaching itself to 6Music and refusing to let go. Now the Welsh artist is ready to unveil his new album, which could well mark a tipping point in his career.

'Ships' is a concept album about the sea, and was recorded with long time collaborator The Voluntary Butler Scheme. Out on April 22nd via Moshi Moshi, the album will be followed – as is customary, we suppose – by an epic British jaunt.

Sweet Baboo will pack his bags and hit the road, opening with a pair of sold out shows in London. Travelling around the country, the songwriter will end the tour in Rochester on May 17th.
