Birmingham’s world leading experimental music festival Supersonic is set to return with 65daysofstatic and more confirmed for the event.
Birmingham isn’t well known as a musical hotspot. Aside from 2-Tone and some naff old metallers England’s second city has been surprisingly quiet.
All that is changing recently however, thanks to the efforts of Capsule. Founded in 1999 the organisation is designed to attract and promote experimental music in the city. Transforming the city’s music scene in less than a decade, Supersonic is the group’s showcase event.
Now in its 7th year the festival can this year boast performances by left field acts from around the world including Growing, Diagonal, Zu, Earthless and 65daysofstatic.
One of the world’s leading experimental music events, Supersonic also boasts a stunning line up of film screenings – full details yet to be announced.
Supersonic is set to take place at venues across Birmingham throughout July 24th – 26th.
