Summer Sundae Weekender have made their second line up announcement, with Death In Vegas, Django Django and more to perform.
Held in the grounds of De Montford House in Leicester, Summer Sundae Weekender is a warm, family friendly festival. Returning once again this year, organisers recently unveiled the second wave of acts for their line up.
Typically varied, the latest batch of names includes everyone from 80s pop stars to Brooklyn buzz bands. Death In Vegas will perform, having returned with new album ‘Trans Love Energies’ last year.
An epic live act, the band were recently chosen to open the Camden Crawl. Death In Vegas will make an appearance at the Summer Sundae Weekender, alongside Datarock, Ocean Colour Scene and more.
Fast rising Brooklyn types Friends are due to appear, with their debut album already talked about as being one of the year’s major releases. An intoxicating live act, the band will showcase their wares at De Montford House this summer.
Elsewhere, legendary folkie Billy Bragg will celebrate the 100th birthday of Woody Guthrie with a special performance. Closely connected with the American artist’s legacy, Bragg’s ‘Mermaid Avenue’ project is due to be given the deluxe box set treatment later this year.
London via Edinburgh newcomers Django Django will appear at Summer Sundae Weekender, while The King Blues, The Twilight Sad, Jack Beats and ever-unpredictable 80s pop icon Adam Ant will all make an appearance.
Early bird tickets are on sale now, but you’d better act quick – the deal runs out on Monday (March 19th).
