Leicester festival Summer Sundae Weekender has added Seasick Steve, Caribou and more to its bill.
Held in the ground of De Montford Hall, Summer Sundae Weekender brings the festival season to Leicester. Completely land locked, this year the city will boast a man-made beach painstakingly re-produced by festival organisers.
With a series of stellar attractions forming the crux of the bill, Summer Sundae Weekender has now confirmed some more obscure favourites. Hobo bluesman Seasick Steve is due to drop by, with his live show becoming a festival staple.
Bringing the blues into the 21st century, Seasick Steve’s performances are as gritty as they get. Together with the three stringed trance wonder, the singer’s sets have become as integral to the summer as hay fever.
Also set to drop by are Swedish group Junip, whose lead singer Jose Gonzalez will no doubt be familiar to some. A respected solo performer, Gonzalez is set to work with Junip on their soon to be released debut album.
Other new names added to the bill include Canadian electronic producer Caribou, whose psychedelia infused new album ‘Swim’ has been stunning fans. Meanwhile former Beta Band singer Steve Mason is also set to drop by, with the likes of Harper Simon, Roots Manuva and more joining the line up.
With more names being added all the time, remember to check back for all the latest updates on Summer Sundae Weekender!
