Motown icon Stevie Wonder helped bring Bestival to a close with a hit laden set last night (September 9th).
Expanding to record breaking heights without losing sight of its identity, Bestival returned this summer with an inspiring bill. Selling out far in advance, the Isle of Wight event opened on Thursday with sunshine draping the vast site.
Across the weekend fans witnessed special performances from The xx and more, with New Order stealing the show on Saturday (September 8th). The legendary group played numerous Joy Division songs, before ending with ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.
Dedicating the performance to Ian Curtis, the screen behind the band lit up to exclaim: ‘Forever Joy Division’.
Drawing to a close last night (September 9th) the main stage ended with a performance from Stevie Wonder. The Motown icon was on fine form, blasting through some of his finest hits to the delight of the Bestival crowd.
