Scottish psych-pop singer Steve Masonhas confirmed details of a lengthy Autumn tour.
Steve Mason has never quite been given the credit he deserves. Through The Beta Band and his own King Biscuit Time the singer has established a back catalogue littered with forward thinking gems.
A cult hero, recent solo album ‘Boys Outside’ may well be the finest under his own name. Steve Mason seems comfortable in his own skin, crafting songs for the love of the art rather than any commercial consideration.
A recent remix from Hot Chip singer Alexis Taylor shows just how respected he is, with some arguing that ‘Boys Outside’ should have pushed Steve Mason onto the shortlist for the Mercury Music Prize.
Sadly, it was not to be. Loved by fans, the singer has now confirmed a lengthy trek across the UK throughout the Autumn.
Performing with a full band, Steve Mason will slip a few classics in between his new material. Beginning in Bristol on August 12th, the tour will take the one time Beta Band frontman across the country.
Due to play a variety of festivals this summer, the Scottish songwriter’s commitments only finish on October 22nd with a set in Liverpool. As a special treat for fans, Steve Mason has also organised a one off in-store performance at Glasgow indie music emporium Monorail.
Performing entirely solo, the show will see Steve Mason strip his songs down, pulling away the often complex arrangements.
Steve Mason will release his new single ‘Am I Just A Man’ on August 16th. Backed by that Alexis Taylor remix, the release will be followed by these shows:
