More acts confirmed for line up

Stag & Dagger has added more names to its line up, as early bird tickets go on sale.

Held in two cities, Stag & Dagger is an annual celebration of new music. However that doesn't mean that the line up is made up of unknowns, with vital veterans also peppering this year's bill.

In London, fans can soak up a performance from punk veterans Wire. Unlike the bulk of their contemporaries, the band are still making thrilling music and show no signs of relying on their (admittedly superb) back catalogue.

Fresh from a slot at Coachella, Wire will perform at the London leg of Stag & Dagger. The band head up an eclectic bill which recently added sets from Los Angeles duo No Joy and newcomers Our Mountain.

Running across six venues, Stag & Dagger has expanded to include the Village Underground and XOYO. Early bird tickets are on sale, with passes for the one day event beginning at just £13.50.

Meanwhile, up in Glasgow fans will be soaking up a performance from Kurt Vile. The lysergic troubadour released his fantastic new album 'Smoke Ring For My Halo' earlier this year, and will bring his backing band to Scotland for a one off show.

Elsewhere, Veronica Falls will showcase their subtle, entrancing indie pop while the varied bill also includes appearances from British hip hop hopes DELS and Ghostpoet.

The bill moves between rock and electronica, with Glasgow based label Numbers due to host a special party. Elsewhere, Three Trapped Tigers are set to perform while Warpaint will showcase their debut album.

Tickets are on sale for the Glasgow leg of Stag & Dagger with selected passes beginning at just £10.

Stag & Dagger takes place in London on May 19th and Glasgow on May 21st.
