Speakers Corner Quartet Confirm Guests For Meltdown Show

It's a glittering array of talent...

Speakers Corner Quartet have confirmed an array of guests for their show at Meltdown Festival.

The multi-artist event hinges on the Southbank Centre, with the London arts hub inviting a different musician each year to act as curator. This year, disco queen Chaka Khan has risen to the task with an incredible selection of performers.

UK collective Speakers Corner Quartet are set to play London’s Southbank Centre on June 17th, playing in the historic Royal Festival Hall. A stunning venue, the band – together with Guildhall Session Orchestra – will bring to life their celebrated debut album ‘Further Out Than The Edge’ on its one-year anniversary.

On its release in 2023, CLASH praised “a creatively rich and inspiring debut from Speakers Corner Quartet, an emblem of their sixteen years spent together as a community of musicians.”

Alongside that, the group promise: “We will be presenting our brand new album that has just been written…”

Exciting times. As ever with Speakers Corner Quartet, it’ll be a collaborative affair, with guests slated for the night including Mercury winner Sampha, spoken word force Kae Tempest, jazz virtuoso Joe Armon-Jones, Lea Sen, CLASH favourite James Massiah, and Confucius MC.

Definitely a summer highlight, tickets for Speakers Corner Quartet are on sale now.
