Sonic Youth Finish South American Tour

Could it be their final show?

Sonic Youth have completed their South America tour, with doubts remaining over their future.

Mainstays of American alternative music, Sonic Youth have paved the way for countless bands. Producing some seminal music, the band are facing an uncertain future after news broke of Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon’s separation.

Vowing to complete their upcoming live duties, Sonic Youth refused to be drawn on their long term future. Fans are already fearing for the legendary group, who finished their South American tour with a show at Sao Paulo on November 14th.

The set list makes for interesting reading. Mixing classic tracks with some lesser heard cuts, if this is indeed Sonic Youth’s final show then the band are going out on a high – finishing, perhaps appropriately, with ‘Teenage Riot’.
