Snowbombing have added a host of extra names to the line up for their 2012 instalment.
A unique blend of music and winter sports, Snowbombing is one of Europe’s most distinctive festivals. Held in the Austrian alps, the award winning event is set to return next year with a jam packed bill.
Organisers are teasing fans, deciding to split the line up into three announcements. A ‘Trilogy Of Sound’ no less, Snowbombing has now delivered the second part of the bill.
Fatboy Slim is set to return to the festival, having been a frequent visitor in the past. Still capable of rocking massive crowds, the DJ will vast British fields for something rather more intimate at Snowbombing.
Returning for the third year in a row, Fatboy Slim did not hide his love for the Austrian festival. “The return of the bumble bee… What an unbridled honour to be invited back again to perform at Snowbombing for a record third year – hatrick!” he declared.
“Bring on the mountains, bring on the fancy dress, bring on the street party, bring the noise… And remember, no snow, no show….”
Elsewhere, American turntablist DJ Shadow will bring his new album ‘The Less You Know The Better’ to the alpine slopes while dubstep pioneer Skream will send some bass frequencies rumbling around the mountains.
Live music will be provided by The Vaccines, with the British rockers due to make their first appearance at Snowbombing. An always raucous live group, the band are fresh from a support slot on the Arctic Monkeys arena tour.
Also on the bill are Jungle legend Shy FX, Rob and Gareth from Pendulum’s new project Knife Party, mash up kingpin Jaguar Skills and Warp signing Rustie.
