Snoop Dogg For Snowbombing

Final headliner announced

Rap legend Snoop Dogg is set to headline next year’s instalment of Snowbombing.

Held in the alpine village of Mayrhofen, Snowbombing is one of Europe’s more unusual festivals. Located in prime snowsports territory, the event matches a hand picked bill with an easy going atmosphere.

Set to return in April, organisers decided to tease fans by splitting the line up into three separate announcements. Earlier today (November 15th) Snowbombing dropped a bombshell by revealing that Snoop Dogg is set to headline.

The G-Funk legend is still a powerful performer, with Snoop Dogg rising to the occasion as the headliner of this summer’s Lovebox. Matching classic cuts with new material, the rapper’s liquid flow is unmistakeable.

Set to make the Alpine festival that little bit cooler, Snoop Dogg will return to Europe for a rare headline slot at Snowbombing. Snowbombing founder Gareth Cooper says: “The Doggfather of hip hop has remained at the forefront of popular culture for twenty years. As he’s pure canine cool, we thought it was high time he joined us in the mountains at Snowbombing.”

“After The Prodigy played the amazing forest venue last year, we were nervous about how we could at least match the experience. But in Snoop we have one of the most perfect acts in the world for an event of just 5000 people in one of the most unique locations in the world. We at Snowbombing are proud to continue to punch well above our weight when it comes to the size of our lineup”.

Other new names on the line up include hip hop legends The Jungle Brothers, who will blast out a set straight from the Golden age. Elsewhere, Radio 1 personality Zane Lowe will play a DJ set while house guru Tensnake will also drop by.

Crosstown Rebel Damian Lazarus has been named on the line up, alongside the likes of Youngman, Justin Robertson and more.

Snowbombing runs between April 9th – 14th.
