Slow Club Join KT Tunstall Tour

Plus headline date announced

Slow Club have been added to Scottish singer KT Tunstall’s upcoming nationwide tour.

Slow Club don’t seem to stop moving. Releasing their debut album last year, the band moved far beyond their twee origins. Mixing sweet indie pop with jaunty rockabilly, the duo expanded their songwriting voice.

Releasing the single ‘Giving Up On Love’ earlier this year, Slow Club seemed to find renewed muscle. Opening the festival season in some style, the band have toured across the country throughout the year.

Now the duo are set to finish the year by supporting KT Tunstall. The Scottish singer is planning to return with her third album, and Slow Club have been recruited as a very special support act.

Five shows have been announced, including a very special date at Manchester venue The Ritz. Other dates include an appearance The Junction in Cambridge, Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London and more.

Finishing in Wolverhampton’s Wulfren Hall on October 24th, tickets for the upcoming shows are on sale now.

Meanwhile, Slow Club are due to play a hometown show at Sheffield’s The Leadmill on November 13th. The duo are also preparing a festive show at London’s Union Chapel on December 22nd, keeping in Slow Club tradition.

The pair are festive fans, having in the past released Advent related singles. Last year brought the EP ‘Christmas, Thanks For Nothing’ – wonder what the dynamic duo could have up their sleeves for 2010?

Slow Club are due to play the following shows:

October
19 Cambridge The Junction
20 London Shepherd’s Bush Empire
21 Manchester The Ritz
23 Glasgow Barrowlands
24 Wolverhampton Wulfren Hall

November
13 Sheffield The Leadmill

December
22 London Union Chapel
