Slash For Wireless

Snoop Dogg, Wiley also set to perform

Iconic guitar player Slash has been added to the bill for this summer Wireless festival.

Slash has always had an Anglophile streak. Born in Britain, his mother worked as a stylist to artists such as David Bowie.

Leaving behind Guns N Roses, the guitarist has enjoyed a lengthy and varied career. Completing work on his new solo album, ‘Slash And Friends’ contains some surprising appearances.

With the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy and Fergie adding their vocals to the material Slash’s new album has delighted fans. Now Slash is set to make a very special appearance at this year’s Wireless festival.

Taking place between July 2nd – 4th, the festival turns London’s Hyde Park into a sea of music fans. Amongst the latest additions are grime star Wiley and controversial American rapper Snoop Dogg.

Once banned from the UK, the tabloid witch-hunt at the time has gone down in rap history as one of the moments where Britain completely fails to understand the point of hip hop. Snoop Dogg is due to perform at Wireless, with the rapper also due to drop by the peace and love vibes of Glastonbury.

Other new additions include Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip whose uplifting new album has adorned the ClashMusic stereo of late. Roll Deep is also due to perform with the likes of Tala Riley, Chiddy Bang and McLean all confirming their participation.

Set to be headlined by the likes of Pink, The Ting Tings, LCD Soundsystem and Jay-Z this year’s Wireless is one of the biggest yet.

Wireless takes place between July 2nd – 4th.
