Million selling Scottish new-wave outfit Simple Minds have revealed the UK leg of their current ‘Graffiti Soul’ World Tour.
The arena tour, set to take place in December, will be supported by synth-pop band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, themselves currently also touring their original line-up.
Chalking up 75 million albums worldwide and 40 hit singles between them, Simple Minds remain one of the biggest UK acts of the 1980s. However, until last year the full band re-grouped for their first time in 27 years to record their new album ‘Grafitti Soul’, itself set for release on 25th May.
Speaking ahead of their live return to the UK, founding member Jim Kerr added ” “Graffiti Soul is one of our most powerful albums to date. The new songs have an undeniable rock and roll edge and immediacy to them and we can’t wait to perform them live!”
The band are also set to embark on a three-date tour this summer, playing a massive homecoming show at the Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, among others.
