Simple Minds Announce Massive Global Tour

Their biggest since 1985...

Simple Minds have confirmed plans for their biggest tour in more than 30 years.

The Scottish evergreens are enjoying something of a resurgence, with 2022 album ‘Direction Of The Heart’ crashing into the UK Top 10. Delighting fans, it blended their legacy with some daring new ideas, injecting fresh energy into their musicality in the process.

The band will bring their Global Tour to the UK next Spring. Part of an international jaunt, the full run sees Simple Minds perform to more than one million people – all in all, it’s their biggest live project since 1985.

Hitting Leeds First Direct Arena on March 15th, the band then move to Manchester, before playing Dublin and Belfast. Simple Minds hit London’s The O2 Arena on March 21st, with subsequent dates following in Birmingham, Nottingham, Bournemouth, and Cardiff.

The tour visits Glasgow – the band’s home city – on March 29th, with Simple Minds playing the OVO Hydro.

Tickets go on sale from September 8th.

Frontman Jim Kerr comments:

“Concerts are the life blood of Simple Minds, it’s where we and our audience come alive and energised through music. Four decades on from when we first set out, this global tour will demonstrate that Simple Minds are still alive and kicking!”
