Shaun Ryder Returns To Factory

Solo show confirmed for Manchester

Factory legend Shaun Ryder is to return to Manchester for a very special career spanning show.

Shaun Ryder – the most Mancunian man alive? A living legend, the one time Happy Mondays singer was a mainstay at Factory Records before going on to form Black Grape.

Disappearing for a while, Shaun Ryder has risen back to prominence on the back of a series of re-union tours. An inspired turn on Gorillaz ‘DARE’ reminded us all just what an individual pop talent the singer really is.

Currently working on a series of solo shows, Shaun Ryder is set to bring his career spanning set to a very familiar location. FAC 251 – The Factory uses the former offices of Factory Records, and is set to showcase the career of Shaun William Ryder.

With Hacienda designer Ben Kelly on hand to give the building a definite Factory feel, FAC 251 has become one of the country’s most talked about new venues.

Shaun Ryder is set to play live as part of an Easter Bank Holiday Sunday special, take place on April 4th. Trawling through his entire career, the singer will re-visit classic tracks as well as rarities with an all star band providing accompaniment.

After the show, all three floors of the Factory venue are set to be turned into one of the Easter weekends wildest parties. FAC 251 have secured a mouth watering DJ line up including Hacienda mainstay Jon Da Silva.

Meanwhile Manchester music legends 808 State will provide a suitably euphoric soundtrack while house legends Justin Robinson and Jon Carter will be there to provide some support.

Just one in a series of Bank Holiday events planned by FAC 251 – The Factory, tickets are on sale now but hurry as they are selling fast.
