Shabazz Palaces British Tour

More dates confirmed

Shabazz Palaces have announced several UK tour dates following their one off show in London last week.

Sub Pop are known for a certain look, a certain sound. White males with beards, alternating between sludgy riffs and plaintive Americana but both with plenty of earnest, gut wrenching charm.

But the Seattle label could well be home to 2011’s most impressive hip hop record. ‘Black Up’ by Shabazz Palaces is a superbly inventive album, one which blends lyrical dexterity with a forward thinking production style.

Playing a one off show in London last week, Shabazz Palaces have now decided to return in November. Announcing four shows, the American group will open the short tour in London on November 17th.

Continuing with shows in Birmingham and Manchester the tour wraps up in Bristol on November 22nd.

Support will come from THEESatisfaction, the female hip hop duo who featured on ‘Black Up’ and have now earned a record deal with Sub Pop in their own right. Fancy a preview of their debut album? Oh go on…
