Seminal Manchester clubnight Electric Chair returns to the city later this year.
Founded by the Unabombers – DJ and production crew Luke and Justin Unabomber – Electric Chair took hold of Manchester venue The Roadhouse in 1995, an inauspicious time for the city's post-rave clubland.
Steering a fresh path, Electric Chair became a key mark in the story of Manchester nightlife, before finally shuttering in 2008.
Well, it's set to return to Manchester this September, hosting an all-day party on September 19th in the confines of Concourse at Depot Mayfield.
The Unabombers will return, joined by South London selector Artwork, Lil Minx, and the legendary DJ Harvey.
Luke and Justin Unabomber comment…
“Every now and then when you least expect it, the forces and the cosmos align and a moment is presented, so when the possibility of bringing Harvey home to Manchester coincided with a venue we have fallen in love with – The Concourse at Depot Mayfield – where the DJ booth is in the middle of the room and the party is formed around the space. The Concourse is a truly magical room. We decided to also bring Chair hero, ARTwork for this all day Sunday journey back inside to Electric Chair.”
Tickets go on sale tomorrow – August 11th – and are strictly limited to 1500. Electric Chair hits Concourse at Depot Mayfield, Manchester on September 19th.
