Seasick Steve Adds London Show

Intimate date for bluesman

Hobo turned bluesman Seasick Steve has announced details of an intimate London show.

Seasick Steve is now a household name, capable of selling out massive venues. Last year the itinerant bluesman headlined the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, marking an important step in his career.

Yet the singer is not afraid of playing tiny shows. Seasick Steve made his name by playing anywhere, anytime and recently confirmed a small London date.

The bluesman will return to the capital on October 7th, for a show in The Blues Kitchen. A dedicated blues venue, the tiny London pub has boasted performances by some of the biggest names to strum a 12 bar.

Now the walls are set to shake to the sound of Seasick Steve. Taking his 3 string trance wonder to the capital, the show on October 7th will be a one off with tickets for the Camden venue going on sale soon.

The show is something of a return to his roots for Seasick Steve. The bluesman busked outside of the BRIT Awards last year, where he was surprisingly nominated for ‘Best International Male’.

Meanwhile, the American singer is also set to play a small show in Belfast. Seasick Steve played his first ever solo date in the Northern Irish city, and is due to return to the country for Open House.

The singer is set to be presented with a silver plaque by festival organisers, in honour of his achievements. Reminiscing, Seasick Steve claimed that the show was integral to his current success.

“Probably the reason I’m playing music” he said. “If I hadn’t done that gig at the Open House Festival in Belfast, I don’t think I’d be playing music now”.

Set to take place on September 12th, festival director Kieran Gilmore was clearly overjoyed to have the blues singer back. “We feel the Open House Festival is Steve’s spiritual home in Ireland and we know he can’t wait to get back to Belfast to do this year’s gig” he said.

Seasick Steve has confirmed the following show:
