But he still aims to play TRNSMT Festival...

Sam Fender has been forced to postpone two shows at Glasgow Barrowlands this week.

The singer was due to perform at the historic venue on September 7th and 8th, but he has been forced to call off the two night stand.

Long since sold out, it seems that fears over COVID has caused Sam Fender to act.

In a note on Instagram Stories, Sam Fender explains that he and his band want to get tested: “Can’t believe I’m writing this but half of our touring party has been coughing their guts up – we’re going to do the right and responsible thing and get us all PCR tested...”

He adds: “Sorry Glasgow – hopefully we get to make it up to you at TRNSMT.”

In related news, Sam Fender confirmed that his new single will be released on September 8th.

Sam Fender will release new album 'Seventeen Going Under' on October 8th.
