Sailor Jerry is set to take Ink City down to Bestival for a special party starring Errors, White Rabbits and more.
Sailor Jerry’s Ink City has travelled the country this summer. A mobile tattoo parlour, it has set up residence in some of the year’s hottest events, with its vintage layout allowing fans to step back to the 1930s.
Fresh from stunning fans at The Big Chill the Ink City tattoo parlour is set to make its way to Bestival. The Isle of Wight event is set to play host to the unusual tent, which has grabbed some exciting new acts.
Scottish math rock outfit Errors are due to play at the event, fresh from the success of their second album ‘Come Down With Me’. The band are currently planning a remix EP, tentatively titled ‘Celebrity Come Down With Me’.
Set to travel down to Bestival this weekend, the Scottish group will hopefully abide by the fancy dress rules. Fans are putting the finishing touches to their costumes, using the theme of ‘fantasy’ as a guide.
Descending on the Ink City event, fans can catch performances from a varied crew of acts. I Blame Coco are due to preview their debut album, while Goldhawks are also set to play the Tattoo Parlour.
Elsewhere, New York outfit White Rabbits are set to play, following the word of mouth success from their second album ‘Its Frightening’. The band will join Egyptian Hip Hop, O Children and Chrome Hoof on the varied bill.
Based on the life of Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins the tattoo parlour will be decks out in 1930s attire. Screenings are due to take place of a short film based on the life of the sailor, with artefacts from his life on show.
Taking place all weekend, the Sailor Jerry crew are preparing a number of surprises for revellers with some special guests and unusual activities.
Bestival takes place between September 10th – 12th.
