Royksopp Team Up With Adam Buxton

For one off BFI performance

Royksopp are set to team up with Adam Buxton for a one off performance at the BFI.

Norwegian duo Royksopp are quietly creative. Never given the plaudits they deserve, the band’s recent pairing of ‘Junior’ / ‘Senior’ demonstrated just how groundbreaking the duo can be.

A vocal / instrumental pairing, the two albums compliment each other yet also stand apart. Concept albums of a sort, Royksopp added to their reputation for crafting intelligent electro-pop.

The duo are planning to release their new single ‘Forsaken Cowboy’ on February 27th. A stand out from ‘Senior’ the single matches ambient sounds with a clear sense of melody, pushing their electronica to new levels of sophistication.

To coincide with the new single, Royksopp are due to take part in a special BUG night at the BFI in London. Hosted by the forever youthful Adam Buxton, the show will include a special programme of music videos, tour visuals and rarities.

The show will look back over their career, which has included collaborations with such directors as Martin de Thurah, H5 and Andreas Nilsson.

At the finale, Royskopp will join the show for a special live set. After the show has finished the Norwegian duo plan to DJ, before joining the official after party at the Benugo Bar in the BFI.

Already sold out, limited returns for BUG will be available direct at the venue on the night.

“We feel honoured to have a Bug night all to ourselves. We have worked with many talented directors over the years, including the great Andreas Nilsson, and it will be exciting to see these films on the big screen for the first time. We are really, really humbled by all of this.” Torbjørn Brundtland.
