Legendary songwriter Roy Harper has confirmed a flurry of UK live dates.
The singular artist emerged from the 60s folk scene, but his restless creativity quickly saw the iconoclast move past any genre tag placed on his work.
A long-time John Peel favourite, Roy Harper returned in 2013 with the well-received 'Man & Myth' album on Bella Union.
Arranging a series of UK live shows for 2019, Roy Harper intends to include his epic 18 minute song 'McGoohan's Blues' in time for its 50th anniversary.
He comments: "Partly because many of the things I wrote about in 'McGoohan’s Blues' in 1968 are still very relevant 50 years later, and partly because my third record was a watershed moment in my recording life, it’s been long in my mind that I should dust it off and bring it on tour again."
