Robert Smith has announced the first names for Meltdown festival 2018, and – frankly – it looks bloody incredible.
The Cure's iconic frontman takes the reins at the Southbank Centre as the goth legends toast their 40th anniversary, and he promised something special from his spell as Meltdown curator.
The first names on the bill have been announced, with metal legends Deftones leading the way.
The Libertines, Manic Street Preachers, Mogwai, and 65daysofstatic will all take part, while the eclectic line up also finds room for The Psychedelic Furs, The Anchoress, The Church, Kathryn Joseph, and more.
Honestly, what a line up. We await the next announcement with baited breath!
Tickets go on sale to Southbank members from March 13th.
