Rizla Invisible Players are gearing up for the journey to RockNess with Benga, Martyn and more set to appear.
A crack team of DJs and producers, Rizla Invisible Players have become a festival institution. Travelling across the country, this year curators include Grandmaster Flash, Hot Chip and Toddla T.
The three take it in turns to choose their favourite DJs, with the resulting team bombarding a festival near you with shards of bass. Together with the Rizla Funktion-One Sound System the carefully selected crew are preparing to get the party started at RockNess.
Alongside sets from the curators fans can expect a set from dubstep kingpin Benga. One of the originators of the scene, the producer has risen to become one of dubstep’s most respected figures.
Set to perform at RockNess, Benga will be joined will by the likes of drum ‘n’ bass royalty Shy FX, indie group Friendly Fires and more for an eclectic bill.
Elsewhere, Glasgow DJ Jackmaster is set to perform at the behest of Hot Chip. Still in his early 20s, Jackmaster is one of the prime movers behind the Numbers label and was recently given the ultimate seal of approval after being asked to fill in for Optimo at their Sub Club mash up.
Elsewhere, Dutch bass guru Martyn will perform while the Crazy P Sound System, The Ragga Twins and more will bring the noise at this summer’s RockNess.
Running throughout the summer, the Rizla tour bus will also be stopping by Lovebox with dates scheduled in Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield and more.
Guest curator Toddla T performed last year, with the crowd going wild for the Sheffield dancehall guru. “It was one of my favourite sets of last year with a wicked atmosphere and the sound system is just crazy”.
RockNess takes place between June 11th – 13th.
