Rick Ross, OVO Sound Crew Confrontation At Ignite Music Festival

Rick Ross and his team were seemingly involved in a physical confrontation with individuals from Drake’s OVO Sound label.

The incident took place at Ignite Music Festival, a huge multi-artist event in Vancouver, Canada. Rick Ross was booked to play a high profile slot, and at the end of his set Da Boss – as he’s known to fans – attempted to play a version of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’.

The diss track effectively ended K Dot’s beef with Drake, and has become one of the year’s biggest singles, as well as a festival anthem.

After his attempt to play this OVO Sound moved to shut it down, with Drake ‘liking’ a post about the incident on social media.

The situation continued to escalate, leading to a physical confrontation between Rick Ross (and his team) and those present from OVO.

Akademiks – a social media broadcaster thought by many to be close to Drake – posted footage about the incident, calling the OVO team “goons”.

YouTuber Sound summarised the incident:

Drake supporters in Canada got into a fight with Rick Ross and his crew for supposedly playing “Not Like Us” by Kendrick at the end of his concert

Neither party has officially commented.
