This summer’s instalment of Reading and Leeds is almost upon us – but will it rain or will it shine?
Having packed your bags, prepared your tent and bought a healthy amount of booze only one thing can interfere with the plans of a hardened festival goer: the weather.
The scenes from Glastonburys of yore are etched into the imagination of everyone who’s every attended a festival, crafting a small spark of doubt at the back of their mind, thinking ‘what if that was me…?’
Well this year it looks as if Reading and Leeds are going to avoid heavy rain. Weather service Metcheck is predicting that the Reading site will be almost rain free on Friday (August 28th) with a small chance of showers in the afternoon.
On Saturday (August 29th) the Reading site will enjoy sunny intervals all day, with Metcheck predicting temperatures of around 18 degrees Celsius – not quite bikini weather. The final day will be rain free, with Metcheck claiming the site will peak at around 19 degrees Celsius.
Over in Leeds fans will enjoy similar weather, though the site will be much cooler. Friday (August 28th) will open with a small amount of drizzle, with temperatures reaching a mild 13 degrees Celsius.
Metcheck claims that Saturday (August 29th) will be almost rain free, with temperatures reaching 16 degrees Celsius. On the final day there is a chance of drizzle, with the site roasting in an 18 degree heat.
This year’s headliners include Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and of course Radiohead.
