The weather reports are in for Reading and Leeds with dry weather predicted for the weekend.
Reading and Leeds is one of the biggest festivals in Europe. A truly enormous undertaking, the gates to the site are set to fling open tomorrow night (August 26th) allowing the first campers to gain entry.
Everyone from the organisers to the ticket holders will be keeping their fingers crossed for good weather. Now the first weekend reports are in, with BBC Weather predicting a generally dry weekend.
According to the BBC service, the Leeds site will be generally dry across the festival. On Friday the site will be warm, with temperatures peaking at around 15 Degrees Celsius. However the festival will also feature light rain, which will soon clear.
On Saturday the Leeds site will enjoy sunny intervals, with cloud cover preventing the temperatures from soaring. Eventually clearing, the final date on the festival site will be sunny and generally dry.
Meanwhile, the Reading site is due to enjoy similarly warm weather. Temperatures will peak at 19 Degrees Celsius on Friday, with the site basking in sunny weather.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday the weather will continue, with temperatures dipping on Sunday. According to Metcheck the Reading site could suffer light rain with general cloud cover across the festival.
With a star studded bill, this year’s instalment of Reading and Leeds is perhaps the most anticipated festival of the summer. Guns N Roses are due to return to British soil for the first time in a decade, while The Libertines are set to reform for a no doubt riotous appearance on the Main Stage.
Canadian giants Arcade Fire will bring ‘The Suburbs’ to Reading and Leeds, with plenty of other highlights across the weekend.
