Iconic songwriter Ray Davies has announced a fourteen date nationwide tour this Autumn.
A quintessentially English songwriter, Ray Davies’ work continues to inspire. Guiding the Kinks to lasting acclaim, the artist continues to tour around the world under his own name.
Heading back out on the road, Ray Davies has confirmed plans for a fourteen date headline tour this Autumn. Rifling through his back catalogue, each show will be a rare chance to catch a seminal talent in the live environment.
Opening in Canterbury this September 30th, the shows continue with dates confirmed in Manchester, Gateshead and more.
Ray Davies is due to perform at the Royal Albert Hall on October 4th, with dates then following around the country. Finishing with a visit to Bath on October 18th, the songwriter will be joined by a full band including ex-Kinks musician Ian Gibbons on keyboards.
Tickets go on general sale next Friday (May 18th).
To coincide with the tour, a new collection of Kinks tracks is being prepared for release. ‘The Kinks At The BBC’ drops on August 13th, with the CD + DVD book package designed in the style of the Radio Times while liner notes have been prepared by Peter Doggett and Doug Hinman.
