Russian group Pussy Riot invaded the pitch during the World Cup final last night (July 15th).
The competition has been held in Vladimir Putin's Russia, with the autocratic ruler accused of numerous human rights abuses.
With France and Croatia facing off in the final Pussy Riot decided to act, with four members of the collective invading the pitch.
The game was brought to a momentary halt, before police and authorities removed the protesters from the arena.
Following this Pussy Riot claimed responsibility for the act, dedicating it to "the great Russian poet, Dmitriy Prigov".
