Pure Love have announced plans to host their first ever live performance later this year.
Funny how the world works. No sooner do the ClashMusic team publish a news item detailing the new EP from Gallows than one time singer Frank Carter reveals plans to launch a new project of his own.
Leaving Gallows behind earlier this year, Frank Carter confirmed his involvement with the ongoing Pure Love project. Split between Brooklyn and London, the group have been working on new material.
Launching their official website, Pure Love began streaming a snippet of new material. Recent postings on the band’s Twitter feed have increased speculation, alluding to a secret announcement today (November 15th).
“We have a big announcement coming next Tuesday” the band wrote. Happy and excited doesn’t come close!”
Now Pure Love have revealed their secret: the band are set to play their first full live show at London’s Bush Hall on February 14th. A duo comprised of Frank Carter and Jim Carroll, the duo will emerge from the shadows at the one off show.
Part of the NME Awards, a pre-sale for tickets launches at 9am this Wednesday (November 16th). General sale, meanwhile, launches at 9am on Friday (November 18th).
Elsewhere, Pure Love have signed a deal with Vertigo Records and have begun work on their debut album. Work is progressing on new material, with the duo dropping some hints on their website.
On one page the band have written: “ALL THOSE EMPTY HEARTS, THEY FILLED THE TOMBS WITH BLOOD. WE ARE ALL JUST PRISONERS OF LOVE…”
Are those song lyrics? Wait and see…
