Prince is set to play a solo piano tour after announcing a series of European shows.
The iconic singer had been rousing speculation for weeks, with fans intimating that an announcement was due.
Breaking cover, Prince has confirmed plans for a full European tour with reports indicating that four UK shows will be announced.
Performing alone at the piano the singer is expected to play classic hits, rarities and more. In a statement Prince said:
"Why do this now? For several reasons. For starters it is a challenge. I rarely get bad reviews because this is something that's been perfected for over 30 years. You have to try new things. With the piano it is more naked, more pure. You can see exactly what you get."
