The Soundtrack Of Our Lives have spoken to ClashMusic before their final British show.
For more than a decade, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives have taken their psychedelic oscillations around the globe. The Swedish institution have built up a cult following, swooning at their idiosyncratic brand of songwriting.
Sadly, though, the band are soon set to be no more. The Soundtrack Of Our Lives have decided to call it quits, finishing their career on a high after their current tour.
Set to play London venue Heaven tonight (September 13th) this will surely be a wake to remember. To mark their passing, Clash sent over some questions to lead singer Ebbot Lundberg who kindly obliged us with some answers.

Why take the decision to call it a day?
We felt that we had reached as far as we could together and want to end while we are still on top of our game.
How does it feel to be approaching your final shows together?
We have been so busy that I really haven’t thought about it yet. This last tour has been our best and most exiting in years.
Do you have a special affinity with the UK? Any shows from the past you remember fondly?
There are so many great shows and memories. The big festivals and London shows we did between around ‘Behind the Music’ were fantastic, great times.
Noel Gallagher invited you to perform with him, are you looking forward to hooking up with the songwriter again?
Very much so! He is a great guy and amazing musician. Last time we played together was in Melbourne in late 2006, so it´s been awhile.
‘Throw It To The Universe’ is coming up, were you aware when you were making it that it would be your last album?
Yes we all came to the conclusion. I think there is a sense of relief over the whole album.
Have you been aware of your increasing influence as Swedish music grows in global prominence?
Yes and no. You very much focus on the album and market were you are working at the time. Then all of a sudden something happens in place you never thought off. Quite a few swedish artists are really making it big in different parts of the world and that sometimes gets unnoticed here back home.
Are you going to keep making music with other projects?
Yes we all are! You never now were anyone of us will be popping up next time…
