This Friday (Aug 23), LCD Soundsystem headline Hackney’s All Points East 2024. The headline set marks the Y2K electro-punk veterans return to the capital following 2022’s equally celebrated and sweltering Brixton Academy residency. If you watched the band’s Friday night set at Glastonbury on BBC iPlayer and began regretting your life choices, this, frankly, is your moment.
What to expect? The joy of seeing LCD Soundsystem in the 2020s – once an improbable statement, given their much vaunted 2011 supposed farewell – is the coalescing of an unruly and inconsistent discography into arguably one of the most jaw-dropping career spanning sets this side of Pet Shop Boys. So shut up and watch the hits.
