Nevermen is the Venn diagram of what happens when three musicians cross paths.
A partnership between Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Adam ‘Doseone’ Drucker (Anticon, cLOUDDEAD), and Mike Patton (Faith No More), the trio have spent some eight years working on material.
Finally ready, Nevermen will release their debut album – self-titled, naturally – on January 29th, and it's a remarkable criss-cross of voices, styles and abilities.
'Hate On' is a riposte to the haters, a middle finger to idle critics who clog up social media. It's not a rant, though – a hugely positive song, it's more about the assertion of identity, the creation of a space to live.
Check it out now.
