Hotly tipped new talent Polly Scattergood is set to follow a handful of much talked about shows with a full scale UK tour.
Emerging from Essex shrouded in rumours, there are a number of misconceptions about Polly Scattergood. Firstly, that is actually her real name, handed down from generation to generation.
Secondly, just because she went to the Brit School doesn’t mean she’s going to burp out saccharine hits like Katie Melua. Polly Scattergood writes dark and affecting songs including previous single ‘Nitrogen Pink’ which is about a close friend ill with cancer.
Having worked for some time to build herself a career in music, Scattergood was given a sudden boost with the approval of Rob Da Bank who began playing her songs on heavy rotation on Radio 1.
After a handful of sold out singles, Scattergood is set to work on her debut album shortly. Due later this year, it is tipped to be a stand out release by an enterprising new talent.
