Rapper turned soulman Plan B has expanded his forthcoming October tour of the UK.
Plan B released his debut album back in 2006. A mixture of gritty rhymes and his soothing voice, the rapper won huge acclaim for his unflinching depiction of British life.
Taking time off, Plan B worked on his singing voice. Working on a batch of new material, the singer began to find inspiration in soul greats such as Otis Redding and the mighty roster of Motown.
‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’ was released earlier this year, with fans initially wary of the new move. However Plan B won through with the album’s sales far eclipsing that of his debut.
Lead single ‘She Said’ stormed into the Top Ten, with Plan B refusing to give up on his rap roots completely. Currently completing a British tour the singer has now added a series of dates to an upcoming jaunt.
Planning to spend the summer at a music festival near you, the rapper will perform at Scotland’s wildest party RockNess. Travelling down to Glastonbury, the soul man will then perform at Wireless, Wakestock and Relentless NASS.
Opening the October tour in Nottingham, the new dates make the jaunt one of Plan B’s longest tours to date. Finishing in Liverpool on October 30th, tickets for the shows are on sale now.
Meanwhile, tickets for the newly added shows in Margate, Gloucester, Leicester, Sheffield and Liverpool are due to go on sale from Friday (July 14th).
