PJ Harvey For The Andrew Marr Show

In front of David Cameron...

PJ Harvey is set to perform solo on the Andrew Marr Show with fellow guests including David Cameron.

It’s been a big year for PJ Harvey. Releasing her album ‘Let England Shake’ to near unanimous acclaim the singer has played a series of stunning live shows lasting the duration of the summer.

Her overwhelming stage presence aside, what impresses most about the PJ Harvey live experience is that voice – so tender even with the most challenging of material.

Now the singer has confirmed plans for an unusual television appearance. PJ Harvey will perform solo on the Andrew Marr Show, with her fellow guests set to include Prime Minster David Cameron.

Drawing on her album ‘Let England Shake’ the performance promises to be something special. Unusually, this isn’t the first time PJ Harvey has sung in front of the Prime Minister on the Andrew Marr Show.

Last April the singer performed in front of Gordon Brown, with a general election looming. The short solo set was probably the Labour politicians favourite moment from the campaign, which was largely a PR disaster.

Meanwhile, PJ Harvey is looking ahead to a pair of special shows at the Royal Albert Hall. Taking place on October 30th and 31st, the shows will see the singer joined by her current live band consisting of John Parish, Mick Harvey and Jean-Marc Butty.

Sadly sold out, the details of the shows are as follows:

October
30 London Royal Albert Hall
31 London Royal Albert Hall
