Pearl Jam have been forced to cancel tonight's (June 19th) show at London's O2 Arena.
The band opened their one-two stint at the huge venue last night (June 18th) with a muscular performance, drawing on the full force of their catalogue.
Sadly, it seems to have impacted on frontman Eddie Vedder's throat. Pearl Jam have been forced to cancel tonight's show, although they promise to return at a later date.
A statement on social media reads:
Singer Eddie Vedder has completely lost his voice. He is on vocal rest for the next few days in an effort to heal and perform the remainder of the tour dates.
It’s the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have travelled and made plans.
